Building costs increased by 0.5 per cent in April 2025 compared to the previous year's corresponding period, according to Statistics Finland.
Among materials, the biggest cost increases in the year were recorded in timber structures (3.6%) and in heat insulation (2.3%).
Costs decreased most in the year in construction site surface structures (2.3%) and in steel structures (2.3%).
Labour input costs increased by 0.9 per cent while the costs of materials increased by 0.8 per cent compared to a year ago.
The costs of services decreased by 3.4 per cent in April this year compared to a year ago.
