The year-on-year change in consumer prices was 0.5 per cent in April 2025, according to Statistics Finland.
In March, inflation stood also at 0.5 per cent. The month-on-month change of consumer prices was minus 0.0 per cent.
In April 2025, consumer prices were raised most year-on-year by general hospital fee, maintenance charge and cigarettes.
The rise in consumer prices from one year ago was curbed most by average interest rate on housing loans, electricity and interests on consumer credit.
The core inflation of the Consumer Price Index was 0.9 per cent.
The calculation of the core inflation took into account all consumer goods and services, excluding food and energy, which include more short-term price fluctuations than the other commodities.
