Finland scored a consecutive second victory in the Ice Hockey World championship beating France in the extra-time by four goals to three in Avicii Arena, Sweden late Sunday night.
Although the Finns dominated over the France players in the match, they narrowly escaped the second ever defeat to France in the last moment after losing the historic lone match in 2017 WC.
France were leading in the match by 3-1 when only two minutes to go but Eeli Tolvanen scored two goals in the last two minutes resulting draw of the match in the regular time.
Later Juuso Parssinen scored in the extra-time to ensure the victory for Finland.
Earlier, Bozon Kevin scored the first goal in the match at the 29th minute and took lead for France but Teuvo Teravainen levelled the score at 38th minute.
Bozon Tim, followed his brother Kevin and took lead again at the 51st minute while Jordann Perret widened the gap 3-1 at the 58th minute and took France very closed to the second every victory against the Lions.
But Tolvanen foiled the dream and scored two goals at the 59th and 60th minutes respectively and levelled the score just 36 seconds before ending the match.
Earlier on Friday, Finland beat Austria in their first match. Finland will play against Sweden on Monday.
